Built on Faith, Family, and Service
Matt's Appliances was founded in 2011 by Matt and his wife, Amber, with humble beginnings in their garage. What started as a small, family-run operation has grown into a multi-location business built on faith, hard work, integrity, and a commitment to serving people well.
Humble Beginnings
More Than Selling Appliances
From the beginning, Matt and Amber have believed that the business is about more than just selling appliances. Their mission has always been rooted in Christian values: treating customers with honesty, serving the community with humility, and creating an environment where people can grow both personally and professionally.
In 2014, Matt and Amber took the next major step by renting a 600-square-foot facility at 2600 Common Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana. That small space became the foundation for the company's growth and helped establish Matt's Appliances as a trusted name in Southwest Louisiana.

From a Garage to Multiple Louisiana Locations
2011
Founded in a Garage
Matt and Amber started Matt's Appliances as a small family-run operation built on faith, hard work, integrity, and serving people well.
2014
First Facility
They rented a 600-square-foot facility at 2600 Common Street in Lake Charles, creating the foundation for the company's growth.
2019
Purchased the Building
The business purchased the full 5,000-square-foot building it had once rented only a small portion of.
2023
Jennings Location Opens
The second location brought the same faith-driven values, customer service, and family-business mindset to another Louisiana community.
2024
Service Shop Expansion
The Lake Charles location added a 4,000-square-foot service and repair shop to better inspect, repair, and stand behind the appliances sold.
2026
Lafayette Location
Matt's Appliances continues to grow with its third location in Lafayette scheduled to open in late June 2026.
Building People

Today, Matt's Appliances continues to grow with its third location in Lafayette scheduled to open in late June 2026. But for Matt and Amber, growth is not measured only in square footage, inventory, or new locations.
